I'm Nami! I draw and paint and sometimes do comics. My traditional work is usually made in ink and watercolors. My digital work is made in Photoshop CS3.
A lot of my inspiration comes from Japanese prints and old fairytale illustrations. I celebrate the particular special ugliness of womanhood.
I'm an Okinawan-American born in California, raised in Florida, and am currently living and working in the DC Metro area. I've got a Bachelor of Fine Art in Fine Art from The College Formerly Known As The Corcoran College of Art + Design, now the Corcoran School at George Washington University.
